Asurion Vice President Corporate Development in San Mateo, California


· Work with the executive team in developing long-term strategic themes for the Company and identifying new business opportunities in support of these themes, including corporate investments, strategic partnerships, acquisitions and financings

· Lead the evaluation and development of the strategic rationale for specific opportunities including any market research, financial analyses and initial due diligence

· Execute mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, investments, joint ventures, strategic alliances and divestitures to include the analysis, structuring and execution of transactions, including prospecting, dialogue initiation, due diligence, comprehensive financial modeling, valuation, negotiations, contract review and post-transaction integration activities

· Set the agenda, develop materials and facilitate the discussion for the monthly Strategy Council meetings where key (near-term and longer-term) strategic decisions are presented and debated

· Lead new venture / growth concepts from ideation through business case development and testing

· Work with senior corporate and business unit executives to in support of their strategic planning and initiatives

· Develop and deliver a variety of communications to internal (shareholders, Board members, senior executives and employees) and external audiences

· Manage direct reports, develop talent and build an effective organization

· Build relationships and effectively interface with Company constituents across functions and responsibilities including Board members and senior executives and marketing, sales, human resources, finance and operations departments

· Providestrategicthought leadership and analytical rigor to important business decisions

· Develop a deep understanding of Asurion’s strategy, financials and competitive landscape


· Minimum 120years of relevant, post-MBA work experience

· Experience and proven track record with a premier private equity firm, investment bank or corporate development organization

· M&A background with experience in due diligence, modeling, negotiating and closing transactions and post-merger management activities

· A leader with strong strategic and creative thinking, work ethic, and organizational, project management and decision-making skills

· Ability to establish strong working relationships both inside and outside the Company, across all levels of management; ability to work collaboratively and independently

· Effective at influencing others without direct authority for them

· Experience with developing and delivering effective C-level and Board level presentations

· Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously

· Strong oral and written communication, facilitation and influencing skills.

· Creativity, adaptability, tenacity, a sense of urgency androll-upyour sleeves,ahands-on orientation

· Superior quantitative, analytic and financial modeling skills; attention to detail

· High ethical standards; excellent judgment; personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information

· Strong academic track record; MBA preferred
