Kforce Project Manager - Intermediate in San Francisco, California

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager - Intermediate in San Francisco, California (CA). Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of Law Operations projects and routine initiatives

  • Assists with delivery and solution maintenance of Law Department legal systems (e-billing, document management, matter management, e-Discovery, etc.)

  • Develops project plans including work schedules and resource allocations

  • Assists in coordinating special projects

  • Actively participates as a Law Operations stakeholder throughout projects and activities impacting the department led by various teams internal and external to the Law Department

  • Works with Director of Law Operations to establish department operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results for the function

  • Provides measurable input on new and innovative legal applications, concepts and processes that may have impact on the achievement of overall department goals

  • Works with the Operations Team to initiate improvements of processes and policies to enhance performance of the department

  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, initiative, discretion and ability to work independently in supporting the Legal Department on a variety of issues

  • Communicates with parties across departments to influence and contribute to long-term direction for the job function, which may include external customers or vendors

  • Explains policies, practices and procedures of the department to others within the organization; May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies and procedures

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Project Management certification preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of Business Management / Program or Project Management experience required

  • Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
