The Program Director will report to the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and SWA.This position oversees and coaches the teams in the HNU cross-country program, which includes participation in selected track events.The primary responsibilities of this position involve coaching, recruiting, and promoting the academic success (retention and graduation) of student athletes in the program.
Qualified candidates will demonstratean understanding of the core values of Holy Names University and the ability to translate those values into college access and success. An advanced degree is essential for this position, along with: (a) two to three years of coaching experience at the collegiate or high school levels (NCAA Division II experience preferred), (b) recruiting experience, (c) excellent communication skills, (d) sound problem solving abilities, (e) strong conflict resolution skills, (f) the ability to make presentations to student and faculty groups, and (g) general competencies in student development and engagement (e.g., counseling, communications, and program development).
This position will remain open until filled, with a desired start date of April 1, 2018 or sooner.
